There is little pleasure in watching a film of such importance without referring to the original novel. Although we have watched “My Heart’s Answer” directed by Izzuddin Zulfiqar many times, especially on national occasions, watching this film made in 1957 is considered a wonderful film. Youssef Al-Sibai wrote this novel in 1954, when major events occurred that led to the loss of Mohamed Naguib’s presidency of the Republic and the leadership of the Revolutionary Council, and the author did not know that these events would completely happen. Turns and changes, so the author recounted some of the conflicts and important events that Naguib participated in two years before the revolution. After the novel was printed, it became the author’s historical testimony. And when the script was ready, things changed completely, Najib was no longer in the picture and had to disappear in the film, while other liberal officers appeared with substitutes for their real names, such as the officer Ali ibn al-Janaini, whose father was the Pasha’s land director, a young man who had a love story with the Pasha’s daughter Inji since childhood, especially after Ali saved the drowning girl. The relationship was strongly opposed by the brother prince, who, by virtue of his status, did not agree to her marrying him, but let his sister get close to Ali and his family. The Military Academy was the intervention of senior officers on the advice of Inji with one of her acquaintances, that is, there were officers who joined the academy without any intermediaries, and according to the film, Ali was an example of ninety officers who participated in it. This revolution, we are concerned here to emphasize that the text of the novel published by Jabahangi can still be found in libraries and is printed with the same mechanism as the author wrote it, which is an important matter that makes us keen to read such novels. As far as I know, no novel has ever experienced such a situation, the author is also an officer who graduated in the class of Gamal Abdel Nasser, unfortunately, we have all seen the film. Those who have read it have gone with the wind, either left or the memory was erased by time, but the printed pages of the novel bear witness to a truth that only a few know, and from here began to write about the importance of this film, a romantic work, in addition to which other emotional works written by Al Sibai were adapted into films, such as “I Ransom You, Leila” and “I’m Leaving”, despite the fact that Al Sibai wrote it. declares his testimony to the political events he witnessed in the twenty years of the Egyptian revolution, such as the construction of the high dam, the Palestinian issue and the defeat of 1967, and these novels are “The Way of Return. ” and “Nadia. ” There is no doubt that the author’s presence in cultural and political institutions gave these works the power of belief.
And it is important that we know that Al Sibai loves film writing and is the first of his generation to be noticed, since his novel “The Land of Hypocrisy” has been transferred to movies and television more than once, and he also wrote a film with the Algerian heroine Jamila, and also participated in the screenwriting of the film “Nasser Saladin”. He has a very important work “Saka is Dead” and several comedy dramas that no one pays attention to. That is, it is impossible to understand Youssef Al Sibai’s work without reading his literary works, and this applies to the films adapted from novels, especially in Egypt.
