Serbia was aiming for eight to ten medals at the Olympics, but won only five, three of them gold. Novak Djokovic, the national water polo team and the Mićek-Arunovic shooting duo won gold. Taekwondo player Alexandra Perišić won silver, and the basketball team won bronze.
Today, they all took to the famous stands in Belgrade to greet the gathered fans, who according to Serbian media were around 70,000.
The main stars were Novak Djokovic and Nikola Jokic, as well as water polo player Dusan Mandic, who was also named MVP of the tournament.
