Nearly 55,000 fourth-graders are expected to take the National External Mathematics Assessment today. The results of the exam are expressed as a score and are included in the certificate of completion of the primary stage of basic education. The results of the exam will be included in the competition for students applying for mathematics or science-mathematics high schools in the fifth-grader national admissions program.
The exams start at 10am and students must be at the exam venue by 9.45am. Only black pens can be used during the exams. Students should bring pencils, erasers and drawing tools. The Ministry of Education has announced that fourth grade students will have a 60-minute office period and children with special educational needs will have a 30-minute office period. The exam options are the same for all students.
The test consists of 25 tasks, among which:
- 18 multiple-choice questions
- 5 short free answer tasks
- 1 extended free-response task
- 1 text question, containing 3 three sub-conditions.
The maximum score is 100 points and the results will be announced before June 7.
