More than $4,000 worth of merchandise was stolen during a robbery at the Advance Auto Parts store downtown early Tuesday morning, according to the Memphis Police Department.
At 3:50 a.m., police said they responded to Advance Auto Parts at 213 Cleveland St. for a report of a robbery in progress.
Police said the front door was open and broken glass was visible when they arrived. The building was empty and the suspect had fled.
Police described the first suspect as a man wearing a dark shirt, grey pants and a black mask. The second suspect was described as wearing a black shirt with red lettering, black shorts, white shoes and a white mask.
