The cold front will continue to disintegrate over the Carpathians in warm, moist air, in a fuzzy area of relatively high pressure.
At night, initially sunny to partly cloudy, gradually becoming cloudy in some areas, with occasional showers or storms – even severe ones.
The lowest temperature at night will drop to 22℃ to 17℃, and around 15℃ in some parts of the valley.
Calm or light winds are expected, with winds from the southwest and southeast northwest to the north at 3 to 7 m/s (10 to 25 km/h).
This is according to current forecasts by meteorologists from the Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute (SHMÚ).
Warm and muggy, especially in the east
Monday will be partly cloudy to partly cloudy, with clouds in the evening. There will be few showers or storms, even severe ones, in the east. It will continue to be very warm and muggy – especially in the east.
The maximum daily temperature will rise to 31-36 degrees, mostly around 29 degrees in the Žilina region and Spiš. The temperature in the mountains at an altitude of 1,500 meters will be around 21 degrees.
Light northerly winds will be blowing from the southwest and southeast in the morning at 3 to 7 m/s (10 to 25 km/h), which will temporarily increase during the storm.
