That said, this is the first time a Bosnian embassy has paid tribute to the victims of the Srebrenica genocide in this way since Bosnia and Herzegovina established diplomatic relations with Canada.

The Institute for Genocide Studies of Canada (IGK) noted that spreading the truth about the Srebrenica genocide is a diplomatic, moral and human obligation.

– Diplomacy must not be a means of anti-state work, but a powerful lever for the defense and strengthening of the state, in which the culture of memory should play a strong role. The survival of a state depends on diplomacy. We have warned that the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina continues in other ways, and now, especially in the diplomatic field, the prohibition of the culture of memory, the denial of genocide and the glorification of war criminals are becoming the pillars of the anti-Bosnia IGK said.
