Member of the Nengiri State Legislative Assembly (Parliament), Mohammad Aziz Abu Naim I am not surprised that Kelantan State Assembly Speaker Datuk Mohd Amanik Abdullah announced his seat as vacant.
(Daily Metro)- He said this was expected after learning that the Kelantan State Assembly Speaker would hold a press conference today.
“I am not surprised as I expected announcements like today’s to happen. However, I do not wish to comment further and will take the case to court.
“I will discuss Kelantan’s decision with my lawyer tomorrow.”
He said the Kelantan state assembly’s decision was based solely on a notice to remove him from Bersatu party.
“We question many things about the notification, the letter sent by Bersatu before informing of the loss of membership.
“The notification in question also does not touch upon the issue of the positions of MPs and councillors,” he said.
Earlier, Kelantan announced that the Nenggeri state seat has been vacated from today.
Mohammad Amar made the announcement at a press conference held in his office.
