News from Angola – The 12th edition of Modangola, an event that brings together creators and designers from across the country and aims to promote Angolan culture through artistic expressions of fashion creation, will take place this Sunday (September 1) in Luanda.
According to a note accessed by NA today, one of the aims of the event, among other objectives, is to contribute to the development and establishment in Angola of an “Official Annual National Calendar of Fashion Events”, a reality in the world that needs to be developed in our country.
The exhibition, which will see the participation of 10 national designers, is expected to become a major project to promote the fashion industry in the Angolan market and encourage businessmen in this sector.
One of the main objectives of this year is that it is set up in blocks that include exhibitions, moments of networking and attracting partners, as well as fashion shows, a national showcase of fashion creators and the Ouro Negro awards. Trophy, awarded to the professional who has performed most outstandingly in promoting the Angolan fashion industry.
“The Fashion Creators Exhibition will include textile factories, fashion houses, haute couture, machinery and equipment, men’s and women’s fashion, children’s fashion, footwear, beauty colleges, fashion institutions, Miss Committee, furniture, beauty clinics, fashion accessories, newsstands and other adjacent institutions or brands,” the report reads.
