“ML points to need to restructure city government”

Liberation Movement leader Ivan Collendavello made the statement to The Express Tribune on Wednesday, August 21, after Jay Krishna Choolun, the party’s adviser at Bobasan Rose Hill Municipal Council, agreed to submit his resignation, as did Mayor Rajeneedavee Mootoo Caroopen.

“The ML has noted that Mr Choolun has agreed to resign. The party recognises the need to restructure the city government. His resignation is in no way a condemnation of him or the mayor. On the contrary, we highlight their good performance in the Beau-Bassin-Rose-Hill council. We hope to be able to count on their close cooperation during the tenure of the new mayor and his deputy.”he declared.
