Below, SUNA provides the full text of the statement: The terrorist Janjaweed militia, under the supervision of their regional supporters, continues its malicious plan to deliberately and systematically disrupt agricultural activities in food-producing areas, intimidate farmers, destroy food production and create famine in the country. The ultimate goal of this plan is to empty the production areas of their people and replace them with militia members and foreign mercenaries. As a result of this terrorist campaign, production in parts of the Al Jazeera project area has been disrupted for the first time in a hundred years, in addition to the agricultural season in Sennar State, Blue Nile State and Lahad Project being threatened. The Dagalo terrorist militia and its sponsoring countries bear the main responsibility for creating and planning this crisis. The Sudanese Government draws the attention of the international and regional community to this and reminds the international community that it must confront those behind this plan aimed at starving and impoverishing the Sudanese people.
