Users of the Namibian Livestock Identification and Traceability System (NamLITS) are advised that there will be service disruptions from August 23 to 27 due to scheduled maintenance of the system. This was stated by Dr Johannes Shoopala, Acting Chief Veterinary Officer at the Ministry of Agriculture.

He said the maintenance would affect services provided by the National Veterinary Services and the Office of the Livestock and Livestock Products Board (LLPB).

This includes the issuance of livestock movement permits, NamLITS transactions, processing of applications related to livestock branding and the sale of ear tags.

“Livestock industry parties as well as the council and LLPB office are strongly advised to make arrangements in advance to ensure operations are not affected as NamLITS related services cannot be provided during this period.”
