In the last hours of Ismail Haniyeh’s life, he was with friends. He first visited Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, who assured Haniyeh that “the banner of Islam is now in the hands of the Palestinians.” Haniyeh then drove to Iran’s parliament. It was his last public meeting.
