The Miami-Dade County Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) was recently named the 2024 Public Agency of the Year. Conference of Minority Transportation Officials (COMTO) received the award at its annual national conference and training convention in Houston, marking the first time DTPW has received the award.
The Miami chapter of COMTO, comprised of county employees from DTPW, MIA, Port of Miami, Division of Solid Waste Management, other departments, agencies and partners, also received the Harold B. Williams Award for Best Member Recruitment/Retention Campaign.

This recognition is a testament to their commitment not only to ensuring efficient transportation, but also to improving the quality of life in our communities.”
