Brazil advances to quarterfinals in Fiji
Gabriel Medina once again sent Brazilians into a frenzy with an impeccable performance. This time, the surfer wowed the internet with a long tube surfing at the Fiji leg of the WSL. The feat took place in the warm-up match for the round of 16 against American Jack Marshall.
This wave played a decisive role in the Brazilian’s advancement to the next stage of the competition. Medina’s score was 9.87, plus 5.07, the total score reached 14.94, higher than Jack Marshall’s 12.60.
Gabriel Medina returns to the Fijian beach scene on Friday (22nd). He will face fellow American Griffin Colapinto in the quarter-finals.
