oneThe MAAS Sports Services Barbados Masters are currently playing a series of cricket matches in England and Wales, with four of the matches already concluded.
Barbados and Brumley were unable to decide the winner in their fourth match of the tour of England on Wednesday due to rain.
Brumley was bowled out for 167 in 35.5 innings. Kyle Saddington hit 55, including seven fours and three sixes. Ben Cook scored 28, Ethan Hawkins 18, Gary Austin 17 and Nehag Pravin 15.
Anthony Morris was the star with the ball, taking 5-24, his best figure so far. Antonio Morris 2-27, Aiden Alleyne 2-36.
AMAAS SS Barbados Masters could only bat for 2.1 overs in their reply but they showed determination and finished with 11 runs without conceding a single point.
The Barbados men’s team has yet to taste defeat on the tour. In their first match, they defeated Wales O60 by seven wickets at the Newport Fugitives Club. The Welsh scored 174-7 in their 40th innings, with Paul Kengarry scoring 72, Anthony Morris 2-23 and Ronnie Gittens 2-40.
The Masters lost only 3 wickets in 30.1 overs and came back to win by 178 runs. Brian Johnson scored 57 runs with 6 fours and 3 sixes. Ken Mayes scored 50 runs with 7 fours and 2 sixes. Leon Ryan scored 44 not out.
The visitors then defeated Wales O50 by four wickets at the Newport Fugitives Club. The young Welsh team scored 188-7 in 40 innings. Andi Price scored 66 and Paul Nees 54. Brian Johnson took 4-58.
In reply, the Masters scored 189-6 in 35.2 overs. Keith Seale was dismissed for 81 after hitting six fours. Leon Ryan scored 33 and Ian Bridgeman 28.
Their most recent win came earlier this week when they beat Tamworth Community College by 22 runs in Tamworth. Batting first for the first time, Barbados maintained their scoring advantage, making 236-4 in 35 overs. Three men scored half a century or more. Owen Birch scored 56, Antonio Morris 51 and Reinaldo Hyland 50. Wayne Bridie scored 38 and Brian Johnson 21.
Tamworth were then bowled out for just 214 in 33.1 overs despite a fine knock of 95 from Jordan Brooks, including 9 fours and 8 sixes. Antonio Morris completed an excellent all-round performance with figures of 5-28, while Brian Johnson made a good start to his journey with figures of 3-33.
Johnson, Antonio Morris and Anthony Morris have picked up seven wickets each so far. Johnson has also scored 78 runs in two innings, while Leon Ryan has scored 77 runs.
