A few weeks ago, Marième Faye Sall’s jewellery was stolen from an apartment on the Corniche where her mother lived. The thieves entered the elderly woman’s room and stole many valuables that Senegalese women usually keep at home. The thieves committed the crime while Ms. Mecca was away and then merged into nature. As of this writing, the thieves have not been spotted and these are the only items taken from the apartment while it was almost unoccupied.
