(CNS): Police are investigating a serious assault that occurred in Georgetown early Monday morning. Police received reports that a man was on the roadside outside an address on Shedden Road (near Main Street) when he was approached by a man he knew around 4 a.m. A second man slashed his head with a machete and then fled the scene.
Emergency crews were called to the scene and the victim was taken to the Cayman Islands Hospital for treatment.
