A man has been charged with more than 20 offences after allegedly painting graffiti on luxury cars across Sydney.
Police said they received 87 reports of spray paint damage to vehicles on streets in Kings Cross, the Surrey Hills, the Eastern Suburbs and Leichhardt between August 19 and 28.
A range of German-made luxury cars were allegedly targeted.
Photos of the vehicles show models from brands including Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Porsche with their badges painted bright blue or red.
On Friday afternoon, officers from Strike Force Opelika raided a unit in Pyrmont Bridge Road, Camperdown, and arrested a 49-year-old man in connection with an investigation into “multiple incidents of graffiti”.
The man was taken to Newtown Police Station and charged with 23 counts of destroying or damaging property.
He was refused bail and is due to appear in Parramatta court on Saturday.
Police have deployed Strike Force Opelika to investigate damage to luxury cars across Sydney.
