The Northeastern Police arrested a man in Hrithi on Thursday. The police were helped by the State Police Commissioner’s Special Branch.

No detention required
The National Police Commissioner’s Special Unit is based in Akureyri. When asked why the special forces were needed, Andre Freire said:
“This project was such a success, we decided to ask them for help.”
No weapons were used in the operation. There was no need to detain the man. The case has been closed by police.
