The information was released on social networks by the Armed Forces Information and Public Relations Directorate (Dirpa) on Tuesday (August 27).
“The General Staff of the Armed Forces (EMGA) informs the public that on the morning of Monday, August 26, 2024, carrying out regular missions to monitor the national territory and combat terrorism within the framework of ‘Operation Marico, FAMa discovered two all-terrain vehicles loaded with war materials belonging to armed terrorist organizations on the Tessalit road, approximately 80 kilometers north of the town of Anefis,” the press release noted.
From the explanation provided by security sources, it seems that FAMa’s exploit was successful
Extensive surveillance and intelligence retrieval of many types. Everything enabled our air team to destroy both vehicles with efficiency and precision.
