Palestinian President Abbas will visit Türkiye from August 14 to 15.
President Erdogan will meet with Abbas at the Presidential Palace in the capital Ankara in five months.
During the meeting, Erdogan and Abbas will discuss Israel’s massacres in the Gaza Strip, the humanitarian crisis in the region and efforts to end the attacks.
The issue of tensions between Iran and Israel was also on the agenda of the visit.
On August 15, Mahmoud Abbas will address the people’s representatives at the National Assembly session.
Abbas’ speech in parliament was significant because it reaffirmed Turkey’s strong support for Palestine following the July 31 assassination of Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh.
The Knesset, which is strongly opposed to Israel’s massacres, has previously expressed support for Palestine and has received a parliamentary mandate on the issue.
