Zyhdi Shehi, 78, murdered his friend Virxil Vesho, 82, in a private shelter, he claimed to the Tirana police. Shehi confessed the crime to the police in the presence of a psychologist.
“After taking the medicine, we lay down to sleep and in the middle of the night I got up to go to the bathroom. After entering the room, I heard voices and shouting and saw Virgil lying. During the event, two psychiatric nurses, Nazime Mulla and Glesantina Saraçi, aged 31 and 26 respectively, were accused of taking actions to prevent the truth from being discovered and were eventually handcuffed.
The 31-year-old woman said in her statement that Virxili Vesho slept in another room but he was moved to Zyhdi Shehu’s room that night.

According to Klan TV’s investigative archives, two nurses discovered the incident around 3:13 a.m. Thursday and notified funeral home staff, not police, after moving the victim’s body, removing his clothes and cleaning the scene.
About one hour and 12 minutes later, employees of the funeral home were notified after discovering signs of violence on the victim’s body.
