The City of Montreal hosted the 10th French Parliament from July 4 to 9, with the participation of 80 young French speakers. Two young Malagasy people held important positions in the French Youth Parliament. Lalaina Amaralda Imitsinjolavitra was appointed Vice-President of the Education, Culture and Communication Committee, and Jaspierre Toavina John Solofohanitra was elected Rapporteur of the Parliamentary Affairs Committee.
The French Youth Parliament is based on the model of parliamentary democracy and helps to develop responsible citizens. This parliamentary simulation in real French-speaking countries measures the civic responsibility of each future elected official. It is also a way to judge the level of participation of young people in Africa, Europe, Asia and America in support of solidarity.
Lalaina Amaralda Imitsinjolavitra debated the theme of the monitoring of influencers and their activities in the French-speaking world, while Jaspierre Toavina John Solofohanitra had to debate the importance of the French language in this century for the promotion of the Francophone world and its different daily uses.
