Bratislava is considered the fastest growing city in Slovakia, not only because of the increase in the number of residents, but also because of the speed at which new opportunities, development plans and opportunities for social and cultural enjoyment are added. For those who observe the capital from the outside, the only thing that seems to be missing is low rental prices.
However, if you talk to professionals and development experts, their impression is not always positive. Outdated spatial planning, low building density, conservative height zoning or poor legislation are still aspects that need improvement in Bratislava.
In what ways is the capital lagging behind the most, what are the biggest obstacles in terms of housing and public space, and which cities or countries can be used as examples?
