At 10.30 pm, hall management, university management and Ansar members searched the room occupied by BCL. At this time, various types of indigenous weapons and liquor bottles were found inside the room.
On the surface, it was seen that Ramda, Chapati, Knife, Axe, various indigenous weapons were coming out of the BCL room of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall one by one. Apart from this, a large number of sticks, pipes, foreign liquor bottles were also found. After the operation, the seized weapons were kept by the university administration. Later, they were handed over to the police.
When asked about this, the coordinator of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement said, “We spoke to the students of the hall and informed the hall management and the university administration.” After the operation, a large number of country-made weapons and liquor bottles were seized. All the seized weapons and liquor bottles have been seized by the university administration and handed over to the law enforcement agencies today. After this, Shaheed Mukhtar Elahi will also be operated on.
In this regard, the assistant provost of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall of the university said. Haroon Al Rashid said that in view of the students’ demands, the university administration, hall management, Ansar and student representatives raided the suspicious room to ensure the safety of the hall. Local weapons and liquor bottles were seized from the room. Today, they have been handed over to Tajhat Police Station.
