Libreville, Tuesday, July 23, 2024 (Infos Gabon) – The authorities of the commune of Libreville, the political capital of Gabon, under the leadership of their special representative, always pay attention to the cleanliness and beautification of the city, making it permanently present a children’s chandelier.
Furthermore, in a meeting with local media on Monday, July 22, the first president of the town hall, General Jude Ibrahim Rapontchombo, spoke at length about the cleanliness of the concerns that drive him and all his collaborators to keep Libreville in good shape.
“We have already started beautifying roads and renovating certain monuments. These teams are already taking action on the ground, bit by bit making our city cleaner,” he declared.
Gen. Jude Ibrahim Laponchobo, however, lamented the actions of some citizens who trampled on the directives given to them by the municipal authorities, citing as an example that besides the act of not observing the disposal times of garbage in the bins, it is a habit of such traders to sell their business on the roads or sidewalks, thus obstructing the passage of other citizens.
The Special Representative in charge of the administration of Libreville announced the city’s Citizens’ Day for Saturday, August 3, 2024, an idea that the municipal government, religious denominations and economic operators retained at a meeting on July 18. Their meetings are aimed at preparing the visit of the Republican head of state to the Estuaire province, the last leg of which is scheduled for August 8-12.
