It is with sadness and regret that SOS Children’s Villages Bosnia and Herzegovina shared on social networks the news of the death of SOS Mother Meliha Muharremovic.

SOS Children’s Villages Bosnia and Herzegovina wrote:

“Some people carry a special warmth, kindness and longing, as if they know that life is both good and hard, people are kind and hurt, there will always be love and sadness… That’s our SOS mother, Meliha.

She knows this well, so her love for her children is overwhelming, because there can never be too much love… and only such marks are worth leaving in this world.

We will remember our dear Mellieha – SOS Mama – with humility and gratitude.

On behalf of the SOS Children’s Villages Bosnia and Herzegovina collectively, we express our sincere condolences to the family and friends,” they said.

Mellieha died at the age of 49 and was buried in the Hambina Kalina settlement in Sarajevo.

She is survived by her brothers and sisters and their families, neighbors, friends and her children: Taiba, Almedina, Hajrudin, Ajla, Anastasia, Alvaro, Armend, Dejan, Vedran and others from the SOS Children’s Village Sarajevo.
