Simla Kistnen did not understand why the police questioned Me Rama Valayden instead of the suspect.
The contents of the affidavit sworn by Vishal Shibchurn, supported by lawyer Pazhany Rangasamy and lawyer Pravesh Nuckcheddy, have shocked some people. Yesterday, we contacted Supramanian Kisternen’s widow Shimla, who told us that she had always been suspicious of some of the people mentioned in the affidavit.
Regarding Manan Fakoo, she told us that she had received information about the latter’s involvement in the murder of her husband more than a year ago, saying “so”. However, she did not go to the police as she no longer trusted the agency. Moreover, she stressed that she no longer had any expectations from the police after Vishal Shibchurn’s revelations. “On the other hand, I have confidence in the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) and hope that he will request a reopening of the judicial investigation to elucidate the new elements that have come to light.”
If Simla Kistnen suspected Manan Fakoo of involvement in the assassination of Kaya Kistnen – she reminds us that Fakoo took part in the march in support of Yogida Sawmynaden on January 12, 2021 – there was of course the latter, in whom she admits she did not expect such involvement of high-ranking figures. Apart from the case of police brutality revealed by Bruneau Laurette in June 2022, Simla Kistnen had never heard of former police officer Roshan Kokil. Nor had she heard of Inspector Ravin Ajodha. The latter, however, was no stranger to another close friend of the Kistnen family, who remembered hearing the name several times after Kaya Kistnen’s death. The relative also remembered Ronron, a name mentioned in the affidavit that had come to his ears several times after Kisternen’s death.
Simla Kistnen, who has been waiting for justice for her and her loved ones for nearly four years, said she was surprised that police summoned Rama Valedhan following the affidavit. “The police are not questioning suspects, they are questioning lawyers!”As for Yogida Sawmynaden’s questioning by the police yesterday, she told us that she did not expect any positive results. One of his relatives recalled the interrogation process “secret” The same Yogida Sawmynaden in the constituency clerk case. Widow Kistenin is still happy that the truth is starting to come out to the public. She wants to thank me Pazhany Rangasamy and all the lawyers, journalists, DPPs and District Judge Vidya Mungroo-Jugurnath who all helped ensure that the crime was not treated as a suicide.
Sawmynaden and Seetaram file complaint over false affidavit
The 12-page affidavit sworn by Vishal Shibchurn on Wednesday quickly created a reaction. Yesterday, Yogida Sawmynaden and Basoo Seetaram went to the Central Crime Investigation Department (CCID) and filed a complaint against Vishal Shibchurn for false testimony. “I had always been told that the truth comes from the mouths of children. There, they wanted me to believe that the truth comes from the mouths of criminals. (…) I was always politik. I was always frontal, and I was led to believe that I was the real culprit. “I was always scared, and I was always afraid of the consequences,” he said. Yogida Sawmynaden condemned a group that tried to bring her down politically.
In his affidavit, Vishal Shibchurn accused several police officers of involvement in the death of Soopramanien Kistnen and claimed that the death of Manan Fakoo was a political ploy to stop him from revealing the truth. He also named several relatives of government members, especially ministers, who allegedly tried to cover up the incident.
Furthermore, at the Linion Moris press conference yesterday, Rama Valayden lamented the slowness of the police in handling the case. He also revealed that when Mr. Pazhany Rangasamy submitted his affidavit to the Police Commissioner, he found himself being held by a “God’s will”, In the Central Military Camp. “They asked him and Vishal Shibuchan’s lawyer to go to the Bastille the next day, and the police went there to investigate. During this time, the police received an urgent call from a high-ranking official to interrupt the investigation. This was the second cover-up. Finn osi dir ki bizin okip mwa.” He added that he received a call from the CCID on Wednesday informing him and his wife that they would be questioned in the afternoon regarding Jean-Michel Lee Shim. According to him, the interrogation “under warning” could lead to prosecution on provisional charges. He wrote to the Communist Party yesterday to express his concerns “We might hear that X committed suicide in jail, or find drugs or weapons in that person’s yard.”
