The City of Lauderdale Lakes is pleased to announce the grand opening of the newly designed splash pad at Vincent Torres Memorial Park.
The much-anticipated addition was made possible by $737,815 in funding approved by the mayor and commission, which will be funded through park impact fees.
The splash pad, along with a new pavilion, restrooms and walkways in the northwest section of the park, marks a major improvement aimed at revitalizing the space and promoting community cohesion. The improvements are designed to provide fun for residents of all ages and encourage children to participate in physical activity and promote healthier lifestyles.
The City of Lauderdale Lakes is very pleased with the positive impact these new facilities will have on the community and looks forward to the park becoming a vibrant hub for activity and socializing.
The project is part of a wider improvement program outlined in the City’s Parks and Recreation Master Plan, which focuses on increasing play space for local children. The new children’s playground will provide children with a safe, high-quality play area conveniently located close to their homes and schools.
