The Estonian Lake Run Series ended this year at Ülemiste Järve. For the second year in a row, the men’s and women’s races were won by the same athlete.

They won again this year at the last Estonian Tour of Lake Ulemiste. Leonid Ratzepov and Helen Bell.

According to event organizer Urmo Raiendi, running events are returning to pre-pandemic levels of popularity, with nearly 350 participants at the Paunvere Lake Run in June and more than 500 at the Ülemiste race.

“Things are slowly starting to pick up again,” Reynder told ERR. “There are no real pre-COVID records yet, but compared to last year and the year before, numbers are gradually increasing again, and there were more people during Ülemiste this year than last year.”

Reind hopes long distance and virtual races will become a thing of the past. “I think people will find their way back to exercising on the track and the track,” he said.

The Estonian Lakes Series consists of four stages and this year was held around Lake Harku, Pankula Reservoir, Lake Puha and Lake Lömister. Jaanus Kallaste and Helen Bell won the overall championship of this year’s series.
