The fifth Lagaip Sangai Festival will be held next weekend at the Layagam Station Oval in the New Lagaip District of Enga Province.
Tony Sulupin, director of the Laigap Sangai Festival, confirmed that the cultural festival has been moved to the Laigam Station Oval for the collective participation of people from Pilikambi, Lagaip and Surinki constituencies in the district.
The festival, which is recognized by the National Cultural Commission, will officially open on Friday, August 23, 2024 and end on Saturday, August 24, 2024.
This is an annual two-day event dedicated to the rich traditional culture, singing and rituals of the Lagap region.
There will also be live music at Sangai Studio.
