Worse still, the toll-free number to inquire about the availability of biometric cards is not available. Even if it is available, it is only administrative documents that do not exist.
The system will eventually fail and people will have to endure the inflation of a three-year ID card, which costs more than 20,000 CFA. This situation has been going on for more than two quarters and the Ministry of the Interior has not found a solution. Moreover, the National Labor Union has not been able to clarify things by arresting them. The responsibility is shared with the Territorial Administration, which should conduct a staff review of biometric citizenship actors.
