On July 26, 2024, the three leaders met and had lunch with the Prime Minister’s senior representative, under the mandate of Mr. Heng Sul, Minister of Labor and Vocational Training. They also discussed work with representatives of employers from 3 factories in Dangkor, Phnom Penh.

Cambodia Dongdu Textile Co., Ltd. is led by Mr. Hou Vuthy, Secretary of State, CB King Top Fashion Garment Factory is led by Lok Chumteav Khlok Pengthol, Deputy Secretary of State, GREEN MEADOW DEVELOPMENT (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. is led by Mr. Taing Pheng Rithy, Deputy Secretary of State.

During a visit to inspect the working conditions of more than 1,700 workers of Dongdu Textile Cambodia Co., Ltd. in Khan Dangkor Sangkat Kraing Pong Teuk Thla village, Hou Wuti met with representatives of the factory’s employers and had face-to-face exchanges, met with family members of workers from various departments of the factory, inspected the operation of the production lines in the factory, and learned about the workers’ working conditions.

After lunch, meetings and direct interviews with the workers, Mr. Hou Vuthy expressed his high appreciation and gratitude to the owners of Dongdu Textile Cambodia Co., Ltd. who strictly abide by the labor law, implement good labor standards, and also provide many benefits in accordance with the principles of the Royal Government. The government is determined to provide benefits for workers.

In particular, during the meeting, the work of GREEN MEADOW DEVELOPMENT (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. was inspected and lunch was held with more than 1,200 workers. Lok Chumteav Khlok Peng Thol also inspected the production process of the factory, such as the garment factory, packaging place, cutting table, QC warehouse (quality control), and medical rescue.

After having lunch with the workers in a friendly atmosphere, Lok Chumteav also met with factory representatives, stressing that a direct visit to the factory is a consideration of the seventh mission led by Prime Minister Hun Manet of the Royal Government of Cambodia. The Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, to all workers in all factories across the country, said how to establish closer ties between the government and factory owners, especially the well-being of workers, is always on the mind of the government.

Meanwhile, during a gathering, more than 1,300 employees of GREEN MEADOW DEVELOPMENT (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. were visited and had lunch with them. At Tram Dok Village, Khan Dangkor Sangkat Pong Teuk, Phnom Penh, Mr. Taing Pheng Rithy also met with the Executive Director and the Factory Director to ask for some information and the working conditions and other benefits provided by the factory to its workers. During the visit, he also visited the factory production line and met with the workers and had lunch in the factory restaurant.

The Undersecretary noted that the factory owners have implemented working conditions well and provided employees with various benefits stipulated in the labor law. On this occasion, he highly appreciated and thanked the factory owners for their good cooperation with the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training to arrange meetings, greetings and lunches with friendly workers. At the same time, he asked the factory owners to continue to pay attention to the safety of all workers, especially to continue to provide adequate benefits to all workers in accordance with the law.
