Kuwaiti player Mohammed Al Masoud won the fourth Qatar International Professional Squash Championship, which was organized by the Qatar Sports Federation at its courts and participated by 16 international players.
Kuwaiti player Masood won the championship of this tournament by defeating Qatari player Youssef Faraj with a score of 3 to 2 (7-11 / 11-8 / 11-6 / 7-11 / 7-11 / 11-8 / 11-6 / 7-11 / 11-6).
Kuwait’s Mohammad Masood defeated Iran’s Sebhar Etimadpour 3-2 (11-2/7-11/2-11/11-9/11-7) to advance to the final round of the tournament.
Last week, the Qatar Squash Federation hosted the third Qatar International Squash Championship, where the bronze medal category was won by Egypt’s Tarek Momen.
In his speech, Mr. Tariq Zainal, Secretary General of the Qatar Tennis, Squash, Cricket and Badminton Federation, congratulated the first place winners of the tournament and wished them greater success in the future.
Zainal said: We are pleased with the high level of skill displayed by the players in the competition and we are keen that Al-Ittihad provides all the facilities to support all players to unleash their talents and is committed to developing the sport at all levels.
He stressed that the federation is interested in increasing the number of tournaments to cope with the huge growth of the sport and to support Qatari players on their path to professionalism.
