Knesset decision does not bring anything new – Arab News Agency

The Palestinian newspaper Al-Quds published an article by writer Marwan Amir Tubasi in which he discussed what the Palestinian side must do after the Israeli Knesset decided to reject the establishment of a Palestinian state. We read the following in the article:
Now, after the Knesset’s decision to reject the creation of a Palestinian state, it is useless to issue statements of condemnation and condemnation, which would be tantamount to throwing a fig leaf over them, if there is still a fig leaf left in the original draft. On the contrary, it is to complete the plan and vision of destroying the Palestinian entity on the basis of the principle of self-determination of the indigenous landowners and their right to their own fully sovereign state.
The move to legalize their vision through a parliamentary decision once again confirms the absolute hostility towards our people, the absolute rejection of the manifestation of Palestinian national identity, and their consideration of the Palestinian issue outside the law.
What is needed now is the declaration of a Palestinian state under occupation, based on UN resolutions and the legitimacy previously approved by the Palestinians, which requires the PLO to carry out legal procedures, especially after Netanyahu declares the Oslo Accords to be over.
Netanyahu’s upcoming visit to the United States and his reception by the U.S. Congress and the U.S. administration reflect a political coalition centered around the rejection of an independent, democratic Palestinian state with sovereignty over all occupied territories and with Holy Jerusalem as its capital. The policies of the current U.S. administration are not fundamentally different from the previous vision of Trump, especially the creation of a “Swiss cheese entity” without sovereignty in the West Bank, and now plans to separate Gaza after all the destruction, killing and destruction that made it an uninhabitable place.
Apart from this, there are similarities in the approach of the great racist colonial ideas between the United States and Israel, as both visions are basically born out of the intersection of political ideas that are based on ethnic cleansing, spelling and racist practices to settle groups in different regions. Despite being geographically far apart, the status of other indigenous peoples in both places, the United States and Palestine, is important.
Now, facing the increasingly clear new and old realities, for those who have illusions about an imminent solution, it is time to take all necessary measures with conscious and sincere minds and hearts to reflect the unity of the world. If it is impossible to convene a meeting of the National Committee or the Central Committee, we, the entire people, should make urgent preparations in a democratic manner within the framework of the Palestine Liberation Organization, which enjoys the international status of legitimate representation. The members of the former represent all Palestinian nationals, especially young people and independents, as well as various factions, forces and popular and civil institutions, in order to agree on a vision, action plan and tools to face the existing challenges, the seriousness of the situation, the future of the people, and the national cause.
