August 30, 2024 (Omdurman) – Sudan’s Ministry of Health reported on Friday that the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) shelled several areas in northern and western Omdurman, killing seven people and injuring 25.

The Ministry of Interior issued a statement confirming that shelling hit civilian-populated areas in Kalari and other areas of Omdurman. The attacks included the Bir Hamad market west of the Um Badda area, which is the only market in the area and is often crowded with civilians. Shelling also affected the Bant market, the Chinese Hospital and the suburb of Al Sawalla in Omdurman.
