Santo Domingo.- Minister of Sports and Recreation (Midlake), Kevin Cruz, Emphasized the contributions made Baseball Industry To the Dominican Republic.

They were accompanied by National Baseball Commissioner Executive Junior Noboa and Sports Undersecretary Franklin De La Mota.
Describing the visit of the MLB executives and national commissioners as pleasant and fruitful, new Secretary Cruz said, “I only hope that God will give me the opportunity to blend with you to advance, promote and share this dream and reality of our country.”
“It is very important to exchange ideas, share experiences and dreams about baseball in the Dominican Republic.”
In this sense, Cruz defines baseball and Major League Baseball as an educational industry that provides thousands of jobs and an economic industry that is expanding throughout the country. He stressed: “In this department, we are happy to work with you to develop a work agenda for the benefit of our baseball players and young people.”
Cruz reiterated that MLB and baseball are industries that have a positive impact on the Dominican Republic every day. “Most importantly, they are the industry of hope for the country because we have become a reality in MLB and in the United States. Thanks to the work and contributions of our players and the efforts of your office, a space has been granted in the Dominican Republic.”
“We reiterate our readiness to serve you and our gratitude for this genuine, transparent and creative relationship between Little League and Major League Baseball in their different functions and responsibilities,” concluded Minister Kelvin Cruz.
The Center of Baseball
Jorge Pérez Díaz told the Minister of Sports that currently the Dominican Republic is an international baseball hub through its summer leagues.
“I tell you this because the summer tournament recently concluded, bringing together 30 major league organizations and more than two thousand players from around the world, most of whom are Dominican. “It means a lot to Major League Baseball and we take it very seriously,” he said.
He told Cruz that MLB is ready and aligned to continue to grow as a team, “an industry that provides tremendous benefits to the country, baseball and the players, and has a positive impact in every way.”
The senior vice president of Major League Baseball praised Kelvin Cruz for his simplicity and sincerity and appreciated the warmth he showed when he received him just days after taking office as sports minister.
Young Noboa
Junior Noboa, a former professional baseball player and current national baseball commissioner, valued the opportunity for Kelvin Cruz to speak and listen to the items on their agenda.
