London, August 12: Kate Middleton and Prince William recently made their first official appearance in 2024, and it was a big deal for the royal couple. The two joined forces to congratulate the British team on their success in the Olympics and appeared in a video shared on the Instagram account along with several other celebrities.
The couple has mostly appeared separately since their last official engagement in December 2023. Their public appearances have decreased due to Kate’s ongoing battle with cancer and ongoing rumors about their relationship.
Kate has only made two public appearances this year as she undergoes preventive chemotherapy. Her recent appearances include Trooping the Colour and the Wimbledon tennis tournament. In June, she spoke publicly about her cancer treatment, saying: “I’m getting better but as anyone who’s been through chemotherapy knows, there are good days and bad days. On those bad days you feel weak and tired and you have to give your body a rest. But on the good days, when you feel stronger, you want to enjoy that feeling to the fullest. My treatment is ongoing and will take many more months. On the days I feel well enough, it’s been a pleasure to get involved in school, spend time doing things that give me energy and positivity, and start doing some work at home.”
While it remains uncertain whether Kate will be able to return to formal public engagements, it is encouraging to see that she is doing well and participating in royal duties when she can.
