Karşıyaka management made its first statement on not renewing Turkey’s longest-running title sponsorship deal, explaining that the decision was made after building an ambitious and goal-oriented team that left them searching quickly under difficult conditions.
“Yaşar Holding and the Pınar brand have provided valuable support to Karşıyaka Sports Club in various aspects over the years, and we have signed one of the few partnerships in Turkey with them, especially since the basketball club has said it will withdraw from the naming rights sponsorship,” said the statement from Karşıyaka management.
The statement includes the following:
“According to the notification of our head coach Ufuk Sarika, our goal is to create a perfect team for the 2024-2025 season. So far, our local rotation has been well completed, with the introduction of 6 foreign players. Although we have created a team with goals and suitable for our basketball culture, it is a great sadness for our community to encounter such news in history, but according to us, the doors of Kashiaka Sports Club are always open to the Yasar family. Responsibility, we must act quickly in these difficult circumstances, therefore, we are seeking new sponsorships to obtain information from our community and the public.”
