Kankan: A young man is accused of stabbing his brother to death in Bordeaux

Bangaly Sylla, the name of the victim, 27, a professional driver, was stabbed in the abdomen by his elder brother Sory Sylla at around 4pm, killing him instantly.

The two brothers’ home was filled with silence and astonishment. No one was willing to say a word. At the scene of the tragedy, no one knew what had happened.

The district governor, Sékou Djiré, tried to provide some information. “At 5:07 pm, the president of the youth called to tell me that a young man had stabbed his brother next to the mosque. I discovered that the place was packed with people. The ambulance could not take away the victim’s body because of the throwing of stones. When I arrived, I called the mayor, the gendarmerie and the police. This is how the knife was searched and found. The victim’s name is Bangaly Sylla and his brother’s name is Sory Sylla, both drivers by profession. We asked people, but no one told us what exactly happened between the two of them,” our interlocutor suggested.

The body of Bangaly Sylla, who had been lying in a pool of blood, now lies in the morgue of the Kankan District Hospital. His brother, Sory Sylla, is the alleged assassin and is in the hands of the police.
