The opening ceremony was attended by Mr. Rujtisak Rangsi, Deputy Governor of Kalasin Province, Mr. Uthai Singthong Pattanakarn, Chairman of Kalasin Provincial Administrative Organization, Ms. Chalermkhwan Lortrakul, Mr. Yutthana Kiatdamnoen-ngam. The Chairman of Kalasin Journalists Association, heads of government agencies, Khok Nong Na Network, Pla Ra entrepreneurs, businessmen and many citizens attended the event.
Tawachai Rodgan, deputy governor of Kalasin province, said that Kalasin province is known as the “Black Water City” and is famous for its black soil, moisture and fertility. It is considered the main producer of agricultural products in the Northeast, and there are also many excellent and unique OTOP products. OTOP products have been developed in the past, so there are currently 2,834 entrepreneur groups with 5,046 products, and the recent sales in 2023 reached 5.58 billion baht, and the target for 2024 is set at 6.95 billion baht. There must be promotional activities to achieve the set goals.
The Deputy Governor of Kalasin further stated that the Community Development Office of Kalasin Province proposed a project to develop community products into a creative economy. The project was entered into according to the 2024 Annual Business Plan of Kalasin Province and approved by the Provincial Administrative Organization Committee led by Mr. Sanan Von Aksong, the Governor of Kalasin Province, to implement the project. In order to increase marketing channels and increase the sales of community products, including creating jobs, careers, and increasing the income of families, communities, and citizens.
Mr. Uthai Singthong, Development Officer of Kalasin Province, said that the Khok Nong Na project is a project of cooperation between Kalasin Province and the Department of Community Development and has been ongoing until visible results are seen. By encouraging society to adopt the philosophy of economics. And promoting the development of quality of life based on new theories, applied to the “Khok Nong Na Model”, Kalasin Province currently has 2,897 Khok Nong Na locations distributed in 18 districts, and the land is currently fertile. And there are many agricultural products, including plants, vegetables and fish. Importantly, Kalasin Province is an important source of fermented fish production. The Kalasin Provincial Development Office said that for the “Khok Nong Na Pla Ra Isan” event in Kalasin Province, the Kalasin Provincial Community Development Office has participated with network partners.
