Juan David Cabal was supposed to be Inter Milan’s new defender, but everything changed in the last 24 hours and today he was introduced as Juventus’ new centre-back.
The 23-year-old Colombian footballer has moved from Verona to Juventus, although he had been in talks with Inter Milan for weeks and was expected to join the Black Panthers.
But Juventus beat their rivals according to the player’s wishes and signed the contract today after quickly completing a medical, extending his stay with the club until 2029.
Juventus announced that they had paid 11 million euros to Verona’s coffers, with other payments amounting to 1.8 million euros, as well as bonuses of up to 2 million euros depending on the achievement of certain goals.
