Hawaiian singer Josh Tatofi, known for his soulful fusion of traditional Hawaiian music and R&B, is coming to Tonga as part of his South Pacific tour. Tatofi, a Grammy-nominated and multi-award-winning artist, will perform in Nuku’alofa on August 20, 2024. The performance is part of his extensive tour across the Pacific and Australia.

Tatofi’s career has deep roots in Hawaiian music, fueled by his early exposure to reggae and idolization of R&B legends. His breakthrough came with the 2016 single “Pua Kiele,” which earned him two Na Hoku Hanohano Awards and a Grammy nomination. His follow-up album, “Ua Kui A Lawa,” won five Na Hoku Hanohano Awards, including Album of the Year.

The South Pacific tour departs from Pago Pago, American Samoa on August 10 and will also visit Apia, Samoa, Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney, Australia, Auckland and Christchurch, New Zealand, and concludes in Wellington on September 1.

Tongan fans can expect to hear hits like “Ouana” and “Storms Never Last” during Tatofi’s performance.

The venue in Nuku’alofa will be confirmed as the performance date approaches.
