Jenna Ortega received explicit photos of her as a teen taken by AI on Twitter

Jenna Ortega is opening up about the negative effects of artificial intelligence that she has personally experienced.

“I hate AI,” she said. “Do I like creating a Twitter account at 14 because I’m supposed to and then seeing nasty content from when I was a kid? No. It’s horrible. It’s corrupt. It’s wrong.”

In addition to seeing AI-generated pornographic images of herself as a teenager, she said, “The first DM I sent myself when I was 12 was an unsolicited photo of a man’s genitals, and that was just the beginning of everything that was to come.”

“I used to have that Twitter account, and people told me, ‘Oh, you have to do this, you have to build your profile,’ ” Ortega explained. “I ended up deleting it about two or three years ago because of the influx of fans after the show aired (Wednesday) These ridiculous images and photos have come out and I’m already confused enough that I just deleted it.”

“I’m always walking,” she said. “If you’ve ever wondered what I do, and my parents have wondered, if I’m not working or in a meeting, I’m out running. I’m in a garden somewhere, I’m lying in a field, taking a nap.”
