JD Vance made some embarrassing mistakes and Freudian gaffes while delivering comments in Milwaukee on Friday.

In an interview with the Milwaukee Police Association, Vance responded to a reporter’s question about recent ABC/IPSOS poll shows Voters view Minnesota Gov. Tim Waltz more favorably than Donald Trump’s vice presidential nominee. The Ohio senator’s troubles began when he initially appeared to misidentify a reporter’s gender.

“What’s your reaction to this poll? What can you do to win over more Americans before the October debate?” ask Xu reported to the police.

Instead of answering the question, Vance tried to deflect by linking Waltz to the 2020 Black Lives Matter protests — and failed miserably.

“This is a man who actively encouraged rioters to burn down Minneapolis in the summer of 2020. This is the largest city in his country.Vance said. “His running mate, Kamala Harris, is willing to burn money to bail those thugs out of jail.”

During the protests, Harris did Tweet The link to the Minnesota Freedom Fund, a nonprofit that runs the bail fund, is questionable, though the claim that she was personally involved is dubious.

Vance also clearly needs a geography lesson, because he went on to say Walz “let the mob burn down The largest city is Minneapolis.

Vance, meanwhile, misspoke again. “I think when people know the truth about Harris and Waltz, Their anti-crime record…” Vance paused, looking frustrated at his mistake.

Harris and Waltz will not deny that the Democratic record is “anti-crime.” Given the vice president’s background as a prosecutor and Minneapolis Minnesota Governor’s Experience Fighting gun crimethey probably won’t mind the framework.

It looked like Vance wanted to get Trump to make as many mistakes as possible in one minute.
