The Jamaican Under-14 Reggae Boyz look to cap off an impressive Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Boys U14 Challenge Series with a title as they take on French Guiana in the final at the Dwight York Stadium today.
The young Boyz defeated their opponents 3-1 and advanced to the finals Puerto Rico advances to semifinals On Friday.
Sunday’s final will begin at 5:30 p.m.
In what was Jamaica’s toughest test yet, they conceded their first goal of the tournament, allowing Puerto Rico to take the lead from a penalty kick in the 34th minute. However, the young Reggae Boyz responded with sheer determination, dominating the second half to seal the win.

In the 51st minute, Kelvin Brown equalized with a long shot, but the ball slipped under the arms of the Puerto Rican goalkeeper. A few minutes later, Kyle Haase gave Jamaica the lead, and Brown returned to the game in the final moments to seal the victory for Puerto Rico.
Their final opponents, French Guiana, advanced to the final by defeating Trinidad and Tobago 4-3 in the other semi-final. French Guiana opened the scoring in the 7th minute through Mateo Francois, but Trinidad quickly equalized 3 minutes later through Jeremie Nanton.
French Guiana regained the lead in the 12th minute with a great shot from Tyler Hatino, who then doubled the lead by taking advantage of a Trinidad defensive error. French Guiana’s fourth goal came from a wonderful free kick from Guezo Atoukou just before halftime. Despite goals from Trinidad’s Adasa Richardson and Jahmiah Gibbes in the second half, French Guiana held on for the win and a place in the final.
