The Jamaican women’s 4x100m relay team finished fifth in the Paris Olympics final.
The quartet of Alana Reid, Kemba Nelson, Shashalee Forbes and Tia Clayton set the record with a season-best time of 42.29 seconds.
The United States won the gold medal with a time of 41.78 seconds, Britain won the runner-up with a time of 41.85 seconds, and Germany won the third place with a time of 41.97 seconds.
With big names like Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and Shericka Jackson sidelined due to injury, it’s a tough task for Jamaica’s next generation of sprinters.
