Italy’s largest payment card processor SIA plans to launch an interoperable trusted services management center to connect Italian banks and telecom companies.
SIA, owned by Italy’s largest banks, will provide payment applications over the air to mobile operator SIM cards. The company said it plans to launch a “standalone” TSM, called TSM EasyCard. The company expects to launch NFC services using TSM this year. SIA has hired France’s Gemalto to provide the TSM platform.
