Is Debswana’s EOI move a strategic path towards eventual layoffs?

Debswana Diamonds has issued an internal memo inviting employees to express interest in Voluntary Separation (VS) as part of the company’s ongoing One Dream, One Team (ODOT) 2024 strategy.

The move has sparked speculation about the company’s broader strategic intentions, particularly given the challenges facing its current five-year strategy, launched in 2020, and declining diamond sales.
