The report, released Thursday, sheds more light on the events of Sunday in which Raisi and his entourage, including Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian, died when their plane crashed in northwestern Iran.
Reports said an investigation team tasked with probing the incident was sent to the crash site on Monday.
The report also said the investigation team had successfully collected a “substantial” amount of information needed to investigate the factors that may have led to the incident.
Reports said the helicopter carrying senior officials crashed while flying along a planned route, but the aircraft did not deviate from its course.
The helicopter reportedly caught fire after crashing in the mountains, and there were no bullet holes or similar impact marks on the remaining wreckage.
It was reported that an Iranian drone found the crash site at 5 a.m. on Monday (local time), and the search and rescue team subsequently rushed to the scene.
The statement said there was no “suspicious” content in the communications between the aircraft and the ground control center before the incident, and pointed out that the follow-up investigation results will be reported to the nation in due course.
